Why a different story every night works
Reading before bed marks the end of the day: it slows things down, turns the screen off and creates a shared calm moment. The problem is usually the repertoire, because the same five books run out fast. With personalized stories the repertoire doesn't run out. And because the story is about whatever is on your child's mind this week, attention holds by itself: they want to know what happens to them in the story.
